“I need a new project.”
“How about a solar furnace?”
“?”
So you take an old satellite dish. Some mirror
tiles and lash the two together with some
silicon.
Without any real effort to align the dish
some impressive results are obtained.
Alas the thermocouple wasn’t up to the
job and Started to melt before a
maximum temp was taken.
Just to prove you don’t need to be a boy
scout to make fire without matches:
Home experimenting.
Two daft friends, Gary and David, with too much time on their hands. "Let's build a time machine." Like we're going to find a tachyon
generator on e-bay.
MARINOV MOTOR.
How does running two hundred amps
through a steel bar appeal? Madness?
We thought so till we tried it. All you
need is: two ball races, a steel bar and
the guts of an industrial battery charger.
"Lets try something simple like
building a Tesla coil." This is a proof
of concept machine and is been
refined for bigger sparks and more
noise.
DIA MAGNETISM.
Fun with rare earth magnets. The top
image shows the Mk I rig. The two plates
at the bottom are bismuth with a small
cube neodymium boron ceramic magnet in
the gap. Above this an a platform is a
larger 'bias' magnet. With a little patience
in tweaking the set up the diamagnetic
effect can be induced, as seen in the
lower image.
NIKOLA TESLA
Tesla is recognized among the most
accomplished scientists of the late 19th and
early 20th centuries. His patents and
theoretical work form the basis of modern
alternating current electric power (AC)
systems, including the polyphase power
distribution systems and AC motor , with
which he contributed to the Second
Industrial Revolution .
